Awards ceremony ~7 p.m. Sunday following the event.  Same location as Draw presentation

Competition Information:

Currently planned to be 1 volunteer-controlled river session, 1 volunteer-conrolled bank stillwater session, and 2 competitor-controlled loch sessions

Limited to 24 angler

All competitors must have a valid FFTUSA membership.  Get your Membership here

Event Registration, Auto Draw, and Scoring will be through FlyComps.com

Fish: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Lake Trout

All anglers must have a valid WY fishing license to compete.

Venues: 

Laramie River at the upper Jelm access easement 

Twin Buttes Lake (2 Venues-East and West) -- Loch Sessions

Meeboer Lake -- Bank Session

Alternate Venues: Laramie River (Greenbelt Access in the town of Laramie), Leazanby Lake

Venues subject to change depending on conditions

Practice water:

  • The Laramie River and Meeboer Lake venues are closed to fishing by competitors starting on May 28th, 2017 at 8 p.m.  Twin Buttes will remain open for practice until June 12th.
  • Practice water is open to any of the areas not mentioned above.  Please respect private property.

Transportation and Travel:

  • No transportation will be provided. Please make your own arrangements for getting to and from the venues. 
  • Meeting place each morning TBA
  • Please familiarize yourself with the venues, and document any discrepancies for review by the Rules Committee.

 

Lodging:

We have been offered a discounted group rate of $50 per room, by the America's Best Value Inn - Laramie. Each room has 2 queens.  523 S Adams St, Laramie, WY, 82070. (307) 721-8860

Fee: Cost per angler will be $125 

  • Registration will open on May 8th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.  The first 24 competitors will be accepted and notified.  You will have 24 hours from confirmation of entry to submit your registration fee via PayPal to emulhern14@gmail.com or you will lose your spot to the next angler on the list. 
  • A waiver will also be required to be completed prior to the competition.

Ron Kless Good Morning, I am not sure what happened, but I went from being 27th to 30th on the waiting list? I was told that I did not need to pay, until I was moved above the line to the competitor list. Is that the reason why I was moved down the list? I am not understanding the method of how the lists and competitor placing is accomplished. It would be great to put a set of guidelines out on how the list selection process is arranged. Thank You for allowing me to be on the waiting list. I am going to compete in another venue the 17th, so I will not be attending this competition. Everyone enjoy the competition.

Ken Crane Ron, no one has any capabilities to modify registration lists for any comp. The database manages its order of inserts and once set when a new registration is submitted they cannot be changed. No one has to pay an entry fee until they are no longer on a waitlist.
