This event is a regional qualifier for Fly Fishing Team USA  in the West region. For anglers to be eligible to register on the first day, they must be from Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, or California . If you are an angler from another region, you can use this as your one regional qualifier outside of region for the cycle but you must wait 24 hours to register to allow anglers from the West region to register first. Registration opens March 4, 2025 at 12 pm Mountain Time for West Region anglers and March 5th at 12 pm for out of region anglers.

2, 2 hr competitor controlled sessions. The lake will have four 45 minute subsessions with beat rotations in between each subsession. 

Competition Sectors:
Sector 1: Bank Session at Lake Desmet

Sector 2: Clear Creek just upstream of Buffalo, WY

Fish:
Wild brown trout and rainbow trout in Clear Creek. Stocked rainbows in Lake Desmet.

Schedule:

The bank lake sessions will be as follows. 1st subsession 8am-8:45am. Then there is a 15 minute rotation. 2nd subsession 9-9:45am. Then there is a 30 minute rotation to adjacent beats. 3rd subsession 10:15-11am. Then there is a 15 minute rotation. 4th subsession 11:15am to 12 pm.

Clear Creek Session Schedule:
2:00 pm - 4 pm :: Session 3
4:30 pm - 6:30 pm :: Session 4

Angler Limit:
This event will be limited to the first 12 anglers.

Registration and Fee:
No entry fee but you must purchase a Fly Fishing Team USA membership within 24 hours of your registration confirmation. Please WAIT TO PURCHASE the membership until you have gotten a spot in the comp as it is first come first serve for the registration and I can't guarantee you'll get in. The membership is good for 365 days from when you purchase it. You can purchase the membership at the top of the Fly Fishing Team USA page. Registration opens March 4, 2025 at 12 pm Mountain Time

No-Fish-Period:
A comp water no-fish policy will be in affect starting Sunday, April 13th at dark.  All other water will remain open.

Draw: I will run the draw Friday night April 25th.
