Lower Owens Mini

This event will follow the new Fly Fishing Team USA cycle format starting this year. For anglers to be eligible to garner points, they need to be from the states of Utah, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, or California.

Event Format: 2 x 1.5 hr competitor controlled sessions

Schedule:

8:00 am - 9:30 am :: Session 1

10:00 am - 11:30 pm :: Session 2

12:30 pm - 2:00 pm :: Session 3

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm :: Session 4

Competition Sectors: Lower Owens river in the wild trout section between the campground bridge and Happy Boulders

Fish: Brown trout and rainbow trout

Angler Limit: This event will be limited to the first 12 anglers

Registration and Entry Fees: No entry fee but you must purchase a Fly Fishing Team USA membership within 24 hours of your registration confirmation. Please WAIT TO PURCHASE the membership until you have gotten a spot in the comp as it is first come first serve for the registration and I can't guarantee you'll get in. The membership is good for 365 days from when you purchase it. You can purchase the membership at the top of the Fly Fishing Team USA page. Registration opens November 28th Monday 6pm PST

No-Fish-Period: A comp water no-fish policy will be in effect starting Saturday, December 10th at dark. All other water will remain open

Hotels: There are a lot of options in Bishop 20 minutes away
