Coaltown Throwdown

 

All Anglers must purchase a 2016 TroutLegend League Pass and agree to the "TroutLegend User Agreement and General Release" form to be eligible to enter any and all competitions listed here.

4th Annual Coaltown Throwdown - April 30 and May 1st - Scranton, PA

Registration Opening:
Monday Feb 1st @6pm

Registration Agreement:
 "To complete registration submit a payment of  within 48 hours
 Failure to do so will release spot." NO REFUNDS FOR DROP OUTS 3 WEEK PRIOR TO COMPETITION!


Length of Sessions and any Regional Modifications: 1.5 or 2 hour sessions


Fish:  Wild Brown and Stocked/Holdover Rainbow Trout
Map: coming soon
Comp Water: Will be similar to last year, but we will not know until closer to date of the comp. will adjust for water conditions.

Practice Water: Will let you know when we figure out comp water. Entire river is open until then.

Details:
Max # of Entrants: 32

Fees/Payouts: Trophy to winning 4 man team, Individual Medals to the top 3, Team medals for the top 3 Teams. Will work on potential prizes

Lodging Options: Google is your friend. A&G Outfitters will be the "Base Camp", so finding something close to there would be ideal for you.

Any other Details: This will be the 4th Annual Coaltown Throwdown, and A&G Outfitters, again, are more than happy to host the draw, lunch, and meeting spot for this competition. Between allowing us to use their shop and parking for this event, cooking us lunch, and having the shop open in case of an emergency, Adam and Greg have been a huge, HUGE help with this event. ALL ANGLERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A PFD (Personal Flotation Device) AT ALL TIMES. NO EXCEPTIONS...

IF DDMA DEAMS THE RIVER CONDITIONS AS UNSAFE, WE WILL CANCEL THE COMPETITION AND REFUND EVERYONES MONEY. WE WILL KNOW WHEN THE COMP GETS CLOSER AS TO WHAT KIND OF CONDITIONS WE ARE DEALING WITH.

Lunches are TBD. Assume that they will be provided again, unless otherwise posted.

No-Fish-Period:
 A comp water no-fish policy will be in affect starting Sunday April 24th at 8pm.  Practice water will remain open.

woody anselmo Hope this finds you all well!! For those that have previously fished the Lackawanna, the following should make sense. For those that have not previously fished the Lack, but understand the value in protecting our wild trout fisheries, we ask you to please take a minute to read the following link, and if you agree, please sign the petition and feel free to share. We feel strongly that this river and these fish not only need, but deserve our help! It really is a special wild brown trout fishery, as I hope all of you have the opportunity to experience!! woody anselmo The draw will be conducted at A&G outfitters Friday eve at 6:00. If you are unable to attend, please get with someone that will be there. We will also be providing score sheets, troughs, and garbage bags at that time as well. Lunch will be provided at A&G Saturday and Sunday for those interested.
