DETAILS:

This event is an individual event and qualifier event for our national team selection process for Canada’s Ladies National Fly Fishing Teams for the 2023 Ladies World Fly Fishing Championship and Commonwealth Championships.

The championship consists of 4 sessions of competition held over a period of 2 days, with each competition session consisting of 3 hours of fishing on 4 different lake venues. Two of the sessions will be fished from the bank and the other two will be fished loch-style from boats (casting and retrieving flies ahead of a drifting boat).

This championship will be a competitor-controlled event with single fly only and barbless hook rule modifications. Rainbow trout are the eligible fish species, with 20 centimetres being set as the minimum size for scoring points.
