B.C. Lakes Provincial Fly Fishing Competition

Level 3 Competition

• Dates: September 28/29th 2024
• Location: Tunkwa Lake, Corbett Lake and Lundbom Lake
• Time:8am – 5pm (4 sessions) (9am-12pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm)
• Entrance Fee: $75 for FFC members and $80 for non FFC members
• Maximum Anglers: 24 anglers in Teams of 2

Day 1. (Corbett/Lundbom) alternating through morning and afternoon for Session 1 and 2
Day 2. (Tunkwa East and West) alternating through morning and afternoon for Sessions 3 and 4

FISHING CLOSURE: 6pm September 18th 2024

• Tunkwa lake will be the headquarters for this event. Cabins are available for rent and there is a provincial campsite for those wishing to camp overnight.
• This will be a loch-style fishing event.
• Boats will be provided with thwart boards (or bring your own if you have them)
•Teams must supply their own drogues.
• Measuring troughs for fish scoring will be provided.
• Minimum 20cm fish size to be scoreable.
• Electric motors will be used on Corbett Lake and gas motors can be used on both Tunkwa and Lundbom Lake with 9.9HP motor restriction.
• Boat partners will be fishing as a team but not in the same boat. We will do a draw at the competitors meeting place to assign letter groups to each competitor.
• Teams will need to supply their boat and motor for only the Lundbom session. They will be able to alternate the boat with their Team partner ( One team member fishes Corbett, then alternates with their team member and fishes in their boat for Lundbom or vice versa)
• Boats will be supplied for the Tunkwa and Corbett session
• Competitors are responsible to supply and wear PFDs and eye protection at all times during the competition while on the water.
• Waterproof score sheets will be provided by BCFFL. Competitors please bring a pencil to score your fish. Competitors will also need a watch to record the time of their catch. Waivers will be sent out by email closer to the event.
• Flies need to be on single barbless hooks(pinched barbs are okay). Indicators, swivels and split shots are not allowed.
• Competitors can sign up as a pair or as an individual. Individuals will be matched up prior to the event.
• Medals to the top 3 individuals and top 3 teams

• Updates with meeting place and maps will be sent out to registered competitors. This will be an excellent event as all 3 lakes fish very well in late September. It also makes for some fantastic practice for next year’s Can-Am Championship being held on 2 of the 3 venues at the same time of year!
